Kodak Health Group, the $2.68 billion medical solutions and imaging systems arm of Eastman Kodak Company, is planning to make India its global hub to outsource all creative and marketing services.

The subsidiary of the global film and imaging major is already outsourcing creative services and materials for its global market promotion activities to India.

Kodak Health is likely to explore possibilities of collaborating with more creative agencies in India and may strengthen its own workforce in the country in these areas.

The company is now considering making India its global centre of creative excellence by shifting more such activities to the country, and utilise the talent pool here.

It has already placed three leadership group personnel in India to explore the country's capabilities in the areas of marketing, service operations, and public relations and trade shows for expanding its business outsourcing to the country, said Elizebath Delahunty, general manager, India and Pacific Asean (Inpac) and Greater China Cluster, Kodak Health Group.

Kodak Health sources also said the company might consider expansion of its manufacturing, and research and development (R&D) activities in India for the Inpac and China Cluster markets, which comprises 22 countries -- from India and neighbouring countries to Australia and New Zealand.
