Finance Minister P Chidambaram presented the Union Budget for 2006-07 in Parliament on Tuesday. His proposals have left many a person wondering if the Budget is good or not.

With Assembly elections just round the corner, Chidambaram has managed to strike a balance between a populist and a positive Budget. He hasn't raised

or lowered tax rates. He has even diluted Fringe Benefit Tax.
