All India train timetable will be re-worked de-novo by using computerised simulation techniques and over 200 mail and express trains to be made super fast. "Increase volumes, reduce unit cost" strategy would be adopted in the passenger business also.
The number of coaches in about 190 popular passenger carrying trains to be increased upto 23-24 coaches enabling railways to earn Rs 200 crore (Rs 2 billion) additionally every year.
Upgradation of lower cost passengers to higher class without any additional payment introduced on all Rajdhanis and mail/express trains.
