Telecom FDI deadlines extended

On Thursday, the government decided to give three months' time till March 2007 to telecom operators for complying with the Foreign Direct Investment norms.

Operators, having up to 74 per cent FDI, were earlier required to abide by the guidelines by January 2, 2007.

This

was announced by Finance Minister P Chidambaram after the Cabinet meeting.
