November 08, 2005 15:15 IST
iGate Global Solution plans to hire over 100 IT professionals in Japan over the next 6-12 months targeting the huge Japanese IT services market with its Integrated Technology and Operations model.

A company spokesman said on Tuesday that the new recruitment would double the company's headcount in Japan.

iGate has registered some significant gains recently in Japan based on its ITOPS vision. It includes a global Japanese conglomerate, a leading Japanese automotive OEM manufacturer and a major insurance

company.

iGate currently employs over 100 IT professionals in Japan and has over 10 Japanese customers spanning insurance, securities and manufacturing sectors.

iGate's global delivery model for ITOPS offers customers reduced costs, reduced cycle time and quality improvements, executed at its six offshore delivery centres in India and China.

"While iGate has an Indian parentage, in Japan it is more like a Japanese software company with a global delivery model," the spokesman said.
