"This will be last meeting with chambers and anything that we say here will be the last word on the Budget," he said addressing the post-budget meeting at Assocham in new Delhi on Saturday.
He said he had already addressed meetings at the Confederation of Indian Industries and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Wondering as to what he could say at Assocham, he said the third meeting gave an opportunity to the India Inc to air its views.
He also had a dig at the tax consultants and lawyers, saying that the removal of sections pertaining to savings schemes would render chartered accountants and lawyers jobless.
He also made a special mention of Assocham, which had spearheaded the awareness campaign on the Value-Added Tax across the country.
