Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Saturday said 27 of the 92 surveys taken up since the last Budget have been completed and a decision on the completed surveys would be taken soon.

Presenting the Railway Budget 2005-06 in Parliament, he said new surveys for 31 new lines are being taken up while for 10 lines the surveys are being updated.
He said surveys for gauge conversion of six lines are being updated.
The minister said new surveys for doubling of nine lines are also being taken up.
