SpiceJet to offer 9,999 seats for Rs 999

Low fare private air carrier SpiceJet on Friday announced 'Red Hot Specials' scheme under which it would sell 9,999 seats for Rs 999 for all the six sectors it operated.

 SpiceJet would be making the seats available for reservation from Saturday for period of three months beginning from October 31, 2005 to January 31, 2006, a company statement said.

Under this scheme, SpiceJet is making 9,999 seats available as 'Red Hot Specials' for Rs 999, per flight segment for all the six sectors it operates its flights.

The booking for these fares would have to be done only through Internet, the statement said.

"We are very pleased that we have been able to bring affordable air travel within the reach of the Indian masses. The response from the market to our low fares, high quality product has been overwhelming," Mark Winders, CEO of SpiceJet said.

SpiceJet operates its services in six sectors -- Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Pune and Bangalore.
