"I believe whatever contradictions that seem to exist in the stance of our allies, will be resolved satisfactorily in a manner, which will see orderly progress on all fronts in the years to come," Congress leader Manmohan Singh, perceived to be the next finance minister, told reporters in New Delhi.

He said the differences in views will be ironed out within the next 2-3 days and a Common Minimum Programme drawn up, which will be the basis of the Congress-led UPA (United Progressive Alliance) government's economic policy.

He said the party was ready to make compromises and still draw up a growth-oriented economic policy.

"Compromises have to be made. The mandate of the people is for a policy, which is pro-growth, but at the same time reflects the concerns of accelerated investment in agriculture, education and health," he said.
