The crucial meeting of the governing board of the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, scheduled to be held in Kozhikode on Saturday to discuss the fee structure, has been postponed to June 24.
IIM-K sources said that the postponement was necessitated owing to non-availability of representatives of the human resource development ministry.
Many of the representatives had sought a postponement citing the IIM-Ahmedabad meeting, which was also on Saturday.
The June 24 meeting would be presided by the seniormost member as IIM-K chairman A C Muthiah, now abroad, had already expressed his inability to reach Kozhikode on that day, sources said.
The June 24 meeting is likely to go by the 'consensus' formula proposed by the country's six IIM directors in Ahmedabad recently, including reverting to the old fee structure and introducing more need-based scholarships to help needy students.
