Tata Power Company has reported a 26.7% increase in net profit at Rs 171 crore (Rs 1.71 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, 2003 as against Rs 135 crore (Rs 1.35 billion) for the same quarter last fiscal.
Total income declined 12% to Rs 1,111.50 crore (Rs 11.11 billion) from Rs 1,258.6 crore (Rs 12.59 billion) in SQ02, according to a release issued to the BSE.
