Goodbye pleats, welcome ruffles! Designer Arpita Mehta seems to have introduced a new way to wear a sari and Bollywood actors seem to be loving it.

Among the first ones to sport the look was Madhuri Dixit Nene who showcased a royal blue tiered sari from Arpita's collection.

The sari featured beige gold embroidery and made Madhuri look elegant.

Completing the look with a matching blouse, Madhuri opted for red lips and styled her hair in soft perms.

Pooja Hedge recently turned heads in Arpita's mango-coloured floral print sari.

Pairing the sari with a strappy off-white choli, she styled the look with elaborate earrings and bracelets.

Pooja shared the pic on Instagram and people couldn't help but comment about how stunning she looked in the sari.

Rounding off the look with a matching blouse, she accessorised it with statement jewellery.

The contemporary silhouette won hearts and made people rethink the way they styled saris.
