This is what Rediff reader Roshan Neville Sequeira shared.

"I first visited the Taj Mahal in 1996, when I was on a work-related visit to Noida. I got in with a bunch of tourists and visited the monument," he wrote.

"The next time I visited the Taj Mahal, it was with my wife and kids in 2009.

"This pic, above, proves that no matter what time of the day and or distance, the Taj Mahal always radiates its beauty and mesmerises the viewer."

Roshan's wife and kids stand in front of the Taj Mahal. "It is all accommodating in its embrace, yet it stands out," he says.

Roshan added, "This pic moved me! Here is a foreign tourist touching the Taj.

"What must be the thoughts going through her head when she was caressing the (walls of) the Taj?

"Did she envy Mumtaj Mahal?

"Did she let out a soft whistle, exclaiming the architecture and its condition (today), hundreds of years since it was built?

"Did she think about the designer or the builder? This moment made me feel proud as an Indian."
