We recently went trekking to the Tirthan Valley in the Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP) in Himachal Pradesh.

It took us around four hours from the valley to the main gate of the park.

We hired a guide, who helped take our baggage (including our tents) from the village to the main gate. The guide also carried food and cooked it inside the park.

We came across apple trees and other orchards.

Once there, we pitched tents inside the park where the Tirthan river flows from the mountains and meets the village.

We also did trout fishing in the river. It was an awesome experience.
