Tiger Diaries: Meet Wagdoh, the king of Tadoba

August 02, 2018

We'd asked you, dear readers, to share stories and photographs of the national animal.

Here are some more responses we received from readers who visited Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

Dr Chirag Patil, 39 from Thane sent us this photograph from Tadoba and told us the story behind it.
"We waited for an hour in our car. At about 9:30 am we could see some movement in the bushes.
"The birds who were drinking water earlier, disappeared. We saw a tiger approach the water hole.
"Bingo! It was Wagdoh-The King, aka Scarface.
"What a majestic animal! and He was huge!
"There was a pin drop silence as we couldn't believe our eyes. We had goose bumps all over.
"He was there for about 5 minutes. He posed for us for sometime and left us, wanting for more. After all he is the undisputed king of Tadoba!"
