'I sing to myself when I'm flying my plane and when I write, I dream of the sky.'

Sooraj Bishnoi -- a pilot, singer-songwriter, instrumentalist and composer from Mumbai -- has just released a music video 3 Am Conversation.

Currently based in California, he recently completed his graduation from the Musician's Institute, Hollywood, in vocal performance.

"I learnt to talk around the same time as I learnt to sing," Sooraj, 24, tells Hitesh Harisinghani/Rediff.com from his current home in California.

His music video The Actor, he tells us, had a million views on YouTube. His other music videos Nemesis and City Beat had 60,000 and 150,000 views on YouTube.

Sooraj is also a USFA certified commercial pilot, "I'm a pilot who sings. I sing to myself when I'm flying my plane and when I write, I dream of the sky," he says.

"My parents are working professionals in Mumbai. They have inspired and nurtured me in my musical journey," he adds.

"Western and classical music have been my inspiration."

Sooraj has collaborated with Los Angeles-based singer Raye Robinson for his latest music video.

"3 Am Conversation was not meant to be a love song. There is something magical about that hour. You don't know whether is late at night or early in the morning," says Sooraj. "I wanted to capture that slow crossover between night and day and intimacy of the conversation."

"Your dreams have no ceilings, let nothing stop you," is his message for Get Ahead readers.
