Pet-Fed, India's biggest pet festival made its debut in Mumbai and thousands of furry delights were part of the fun-filled two-day event.

Rediff.com's Rajesh Karkera brings you some glimpses!

Shanaya Dias with her Lhasa Cookie. She says, "I have always wanted one since I was a child. Finally my parents agreed on my 18th birthday to get me Cookie."

Shanaya's mother, June Rosemary Dias grew up with two Lhasa Apsos. However, when she got married she had to give up her pets.
After years, she finally got a Lhasa Apso for her daughter Shanaya on her 18th birthday.

Meet Shadow, the husky from I.C. Colony, Borivali.

Casper, the Lhasa Apso with his owner.

Saniya, the labrador came dressed in a skirt.

This was also a place where matchmaking took place :)

Unless you took a closer look, you wouldn't spot this little pup.

Amigo, the collie, which is actually a herding dog from Scotland caught a lot of attention which he didn't look very comfortable with!

This was a place for animal lovers -- especially dog lovers -- and all the dogs seemed to know that.

And they didn't mind total strangers petting them and posing for photographs with them.

Even huge Alexander here did not mind being petted!

Don't remember his name, but this one was hyperactive and friendly. He just wanted to run around and meet people.

The event featured some cats too... Lazy ones though :)
