Remember how you celebrated Republic Day back in school?
No celebration was complete without the tri-colour decorations? Who can forget the principal's speech, the march past and those skits that were planned months in advance.
The flag hoisting ceremony in school was a must. Did your teacher also take attendance before the ceremony, just to ensure no one missed school on that day.
Do you have fond memories of watching the R-Day parade with your family on Doordarshan?
If you're from Delhi, you would have definitely visited the Rashtrapati Bhavan with your parents to watch it all lit up in the evening.
Back then, Republic Day was about listening to patriotic songs, wearing white kurtas with tri-colour dupattas and watching a desh bhakti movie.
