Every year, residents of Mumbai's Dharavi, one of Asia's largest slums come together to celebrate Pongal.
This year too, the 90 feet road saw women dressed in their festive finery participate in the community celebrations.
The women cooked rice and jaggery in steel pots to make chakkara pongal .
