We invited you, dear readers, to share your love stories this Valentine's Day.
Here, C Sudeesh tells us how he met the love of his life.
I had attended a wedding when I was ten when I first saw this little girl; I was ten years old at the time.
Though I would not see her again for another 12 years, her face remained in my memory.
Then, when I was around 27, a family moved into a flat in the same building as my sister.
The elder daughter of the family reminded me of the one I had seen all those years ago.
As it turned out, she was indeed the same girl. And the wedding I attended 12 years ago was her cousin's.
Since I was of marriageable age, my family was arranging meetings with prospective brides. Nothing seemed to work.
Finally, I expressed my desire to marry this girl I saw long, long ago.
My sister was hesitant.
The girl, I was told, was still completing her graduation.
Much to our surprise though, her family accepted our proposal!
We went out together a few times during which I told her about the time I first saw her.
Another 12 years have passed since then. And we are now married with a 11-year-old son.
Life couldn’t have been better. She has been my pillar of strength and my best friend.
And to think that I was only ten, when in all my innocence, I hoped to marry her!
