We'd asked you, dear readers to share your love stories with us.
Anand Ghatage tells us how his love blossomed over the phone chats.
It started in May 2015.
Trupti (my wife now) and my parents were looking for a suitable partner for our marriage.
A common relative of ours helped us get in touch with each other.
At that point of time, we weren't ready for marriage. So we took it very casually.
But we weren't aware that one day we would become an integral part of our lives.
I still remember our first conversation over the phone when she sent me her old photographs.
Her photographs surprised me for a while. She looked different in each photo.
We were mostly into chatting.
But eventually I realised that she is the one for me.
After few days, my parents and I went to meet her family at her place.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t get a chance to talk to each other at length.
I was going to leave for Delhi the next day.
But I didn't want to go without meeting her.
I texted her to meet me and she agreed.
It was raining heavily, but I was excited to see her.
I spotted her at Andheri station (in Mumbai) in a beautiful red dress.
My heart was beating fast as she walked towards me.
She looked very beautiful.
We spent some good time together and then left.
But we didn't let each other about know our decision with respect to marriage.
Both of us took few days and finally decided to get engaged on July 10, 2015.
We had a long distance relationship as I was living in New Delhi for work while she was in Mumbai.
But our love blossomed with every passing day.
She always complained that I never proposed her.
And when I did propose, it was on national television.
We were selected for a television show in which I knelt down and proposed her by singing a song.
I can never forget that happy face of hers and the love in her eyes at that moment. I will cherish it forever.
We got married on December 20, 2015. Sometimes, we wonder that we really did get married.
No matter what the situation arises in future, we shall still stay strong and be with each other.
She is the best life partner that I could have asked for.
When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone special, you just want that person in your life as soon as possible.
And my life has already started!
