Every woman has a 'period' story. Some are funny, others are embarrassing, humiliating or painful.

Periods are absolutely natural, and they have been a part of every woman's life.

While women are often told to not let periods stop them from getting on with your routine, they are also advised to keep it a SECRET.

Sssh! No one wants to hear you complain about your menstrual cramps.

If you're carrying a pad, you need to hide it. And a stained skirt/kurta is strict no-no.

In India, periods are made a taboo topic and often we hear stories of menstruating women not allowed to touch pickles, asked to stay away from places of worship, sit on wooden furniture, etc.

On Menstrual Hygiene Day, we ask you, dear women to share your 'period' stories with us.

There's no need to whisper it anymore. Go on! Share all those funny, annoying, embarrassing, humiliating experiences.

Send it to us at getahead@rediff.co.in with 'Let's talk about periods' in the subject line, along with your NAME, AGE and the place where you LIVE.

You are most welcome to send in your picture as well. We will publish the best entries right here on Rediff.com.
