Pics: This is just what fans need to see them through to Season 8 in 2019.

We will not get our next fix -- season 8 -- of Game of Thrones till 2019, so the news that the British Royal Mail is issuing an exclusive stamp set featuring iconic characters from the show is just what we needed.

The 10 new stamps commemorate favourite Game of Thrones characters from the 'houses Stark, Targaryen, Lannister and Tyrell.'

Royal Mail adds, 'Five more stamps commemorate characters such as The Night King and White Walkers, plus the coveted Iron Throne.'

The stamps are being released to highlight British contributions to the HBO series.

Game of Thrones has aired seven seasons so far with considerable portions filmed in Northern Ireland. It also has a predominantly British and Irish cast, including the English-born Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington.

Royal Mail is also issuing Game of Thrones gifts and collectibles, including a presentation pack and a stamp book -- all of which will be available from January 23.

With the craze that Game of Thrones inspires -- Brad Pitt recently bid $120,000 to watch an episode with Clarke and Harington and was outbid by someone who forked out $160,000! -- the stamps are expected to be as big a hit as the show.

And the timing doesn't hurt: Season 8 will be the final season of Game of Thrones.
