Acid attack survivor and activist Laxmi Agarwal took to the runway walking for designer Laxmi Shriali Sood.
Laxmi's life and journey is the inspiration behind Meghna Gulzar's forthcoming film Chhapaak, in which Deepika Padukone will play the lead.
As the survivor took to the ramp as showstopper for the young designer, Laxmi sent across a strong, powerful message.
Ahead of her show, she posted a video getting ready and wrote: "Stop sale of acid."

At the end of the show, Laxmi spoke about the importance of gender equality in society.
"If the society has equality then women will get respect automatically," she said.
"Parents should give good upbringing; end differentiation between a girl and a boy child. Ego in the boy child because of differentiation is the root behind any crime," Laxmi insisted.
"I am very happy that a movie is coming on my life. I never thought it would happen with me, and now it is happening," she said.

Laxmi who had earlier shared the first look of the movie's poster and Deepika's look, says she is happy that the actor is playing her.
"I am so happy that Deepika Padukone is portraying my role in the movie. Good thing about this movie is that society focuses more on the cause raised by any celebrity, it increases more awareness.”
Expressing gratitude towards the filmmaker Meghna Gulzar and actor Deepika Padukone, Laxmi asserted, “I salute Meghna Gulzar and Deepika Padukone for making a biopic on me.”
