Yoga lessons from Aamna Sharif

Aamna Sharif quit a successful television career to get married in 2013.

Six years later, the actor made a comeback and has since been active on social media.

The 38-year-old mother of two often shares pictures and videos of her doing yoga and lifting weights while showing off her toned abs.

During the lockdown, the actor has continued to inspire her followers explaining the various benefits of yoga on physical and mental health.

'Yoga for me is not just about getting the posture right or being able to do complex asanas. Yoga is like food for my soul,' says Aaamna.
'Every morning I come to my mat with an intention and that sets a precedent for my entire day.'

'A healthy outside starts from the inside. Body movement and yoga not only helps me be fit but also keeps my mind healthy. Taking care of our #MentalHealth is an utmost need of the hour,' says Aamna.

 

The actor believes that fitness involves the mind, body and soul. In her own words, 'fall in love with taking care of yourself -- Mind. Body. Spirit.'

 

Aamna begins her day with exercise. She works out even on Sundays.
'How you start your day reflects on how you are going to spend the rest of it. I start mine with some body movement, mindfulness and positivity.'

 

'Moving my body first thing in the morning or anytime in the day is my favourite thing to do!'
