Lady Gaga rarely fails to impress.

When she is not creating award winning music, she is taking on the world with her quirky and eccentric public appearances.

At the MTV Video Music Awards 2020, the pop star and actor wore a different mask at almost every appearance she made -- be it while performing or while accepting an award.

'Wear a mask. It's a sign of respect,' the 34 year old shared in her message to fans while she came on stage.

All of Gaga's looks for the music event were put together by fashion director Nicola Formichetti and stylist Marta Del Rio.

Check out some of her most popular masked looks!

Designer Lance Moore, who created the silver jellyfish mask, took to Instagram to share the news.

The LED voice activated mask she wore with her bralette and crystallized panties were designed by Smooth Technology along with Diego Montoya Studio.
'Lady Gaga controlled the animations with her loudness and pitch captured from a built in mic. The lighting designer had wireless control over the color of the animation,' Smooth Technology revealed on Instagram. Photograph: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images
