The French designer married the drape and flow of the sari with ski resort chic for his Fall/Winter 2017-2018 collection.
Jean Paul Gaultier unleashed a 'fashion snow storm' with obvious Indian touches on the Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture runway this week.
'My initial inspiration was India,' the French designer told Fashion Unfiltered about his Fall/Winter 2017-2018 collection, 'but under the snow -- hence a sari inspiration, but reworked for winter.'
The drape and flow of the sari seamlessly integrated into ski resort chic coats, quilted vests and hoods, and were highlighted by Gaultier's use of the very desi nose chains.
