Nitin Gujar: I plan to invest in mutual funds through SIP for the next seven years.

Will you please guide me in the above matter?

I am planning to invest Rs 1 lakh per month in some funds to save taxes; I would appreciate your brilliant ideas on the same.

My age is 53 years. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

I will be retiring in next seven years and want to build a good corpus.

Omkeshwar Singh: Through ELSS, Rs 1.5 lakhs under 80 CC can be invested per annum.

The scheme that can be considered is Axis Long Term Equity Fund (Growth).

 

Prasanta Maharana: I want to invest Rs 20 lakhs for six months for daughter's marriage.

Which secured and easily liquidated fund should I invest in?

Please advise. I am a newcomer to mutual funds.

Omkeshwar Singh: You may consider ultra-short-term funds; Aditya Birla Sun Life Savings Fund (Growth) can be considered.

 

Raghavendra B: I'm 45 years old and yet to invest into to MF, please guide me. Currently, I can invest around Rs 10,000 monthly.

Omkeshwar Singh: These funds can be considered Rs 2,500 each:

  1. Axis ESG Equity Fund (Growth)
  2. Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund (Growth)
  3. SBI Magnum Global Fund (Growth)
  4. DSP Quant Fund (Growth)

 

Anirudh Khajuria: I have invested in following MFs for the last six months. The details are as follows:

  1. Canara Robeco Mutual Fund (monthly SIP, Rs 5,000)
  2. Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund (monthly SIP, Rs 5,000)

Kindly advise if these funds are good for the long term, around 12 to 15 years horizon.

Kindly suggest other funds too.

I'm new to investments and interested in making short term investments (say two years).

I'm looking to invest around Rs 8,000-10,000 per month.

Could you suggest a couple of decent options where I can invest?

Also, if they are not taxable, it will be very helpful.

  1. Tata Balanced Advantage Fund (Growth)
  2. ICICI Prudential Balanced Advantage Fund (Growth)

 

Joseph John Fernandes: I have lump sum amount of Rs 20 lakhs.

I want to invest in liquid fund with STP. Planning to invest in four funds (Rs 5 lakhs each).

I want to invest for 5-6 years. Kindly let me know which liquid funds are better suited to me with the above timeline.

I am investing in mutual funds for my two daughters's studies (now in Class 6), their marriage and for our retirement at the age of 60.

I have been investing in these mutual funds for the past two years.

Are my fund choices good for the investment period of 10-15 years to meet my requirements?

Omkeshwar Singh: These are fine. However, they would need to be reviewed after six months.

 

Dixshant Kumar: I have started SIP investment in the below funds:

  1. Axis Midcap, Rs 1,000
  2. SBI Small cap, Rs 1,000
  3. Axis Growth Opportunities Fund, Rs 2,000
  4. Parag Parikh Flexi Cap, Rs 2,000 with 10 per cent step up
  5. Quant Active Fund, Rs 1,000 with 10 per cent step up

Kindly review my portfolio and suggest any good index fund.

Omkeshwar Singh: Portfolio is fine. HDFC Sensex 30 or UTI Nifty 50 can be considered.

 

Amit Pathak: I'm Amit Pathak, 39 years old. I have invested in SIP as follows.

  1. L&T Emerging Business Opportunities Fund (Growth) -- Rs 3,000 monthly since January 2017. Current value Rs 3.52 lakhs
  2. UTI Flexi Cap Fund -- lump sum investment of Rs 50,000, six months ago
  3. L&T Nifty 50 Index Fund -- Rs 50,000 in NFO a few months ago
  4. Equities in the form of stocks -- Rs 2.5 lakhs

I want to invest Rs 20,000 per month in SIP for 5-7 years.

Kindly advise good funds with high returns and balanced risk profile.
