Lakmé Fashion Week 2020 begins at the St Regis hotel in Mumbai on October 21.

Models have quickly adapted to the pandemic-driven situation and have been flaunting some impressive, colour-coordinated masks, in chic shades.

Scroll down to take a look at the behind-the-scenes pics from the rehearsals.

So what if people can't see your smile through a mask? Take a cue from this model who caught people's attention with her eye highlights. All photographs: Kind courtesy Lakmé Fashion Week/Instagram

Aishwarya Sushmita colour co-ordinated her black-and-white outfit with a matching mask.

No longer just an accessory, masks have evolved to becoming a fashion statement.

Quirky masks, like the one this model is wearing, are becoming a way of self-expression.
