What: The University of Windsor, Canada, has opened free help desks in Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Chandigarh to assist students from Punjab wishing to study in Canada.

The help desks were organised in collaboration with BN Overseas Education Services, following the liberalisation by Canada in its immigration rules.

The help desks have received an overwhelming response from the students in Punjab.

Within a couple of days, as many as 25 students got admission to the foreign university through the Jalandhar help desk alone.

Mel Broitman, director (Outreach) of Windsor University, who interviewed aspiring students, claimed with the opening of visa rules for students, it was expected that more than 300 students could get admission to Windsor University for higher studies.
