What: Applications are invited for fellowships in HIV medicine.

Programme details

~ The fellowship in HIV medicine is a one-year, postgraduate clinical training programme in HIV/ AIDS care.

~ It offers quality training for doctors in HIV care.

~ The course combines clinical contact programmes with distance learning and project work.

~ Originally developed at the Christian Medical College, Vellore, the fellowship training is now conducted by a network of partner institutions in different parts of the country.

Course structure

~ Duration: One year

~ The course consists of:

• Four contact sessions at the training institution (six weeks)
• Supervised distance learning course (four months)
• Project work (six months)

~ Participants will continue their regular jobs while undertaking the training.

~ Training institutions:

• Christian Medical College, Vellore
• Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi
• School of Tropical Medicine and Medical College, Kolkata

Are you eligible?

~ You must have an MBBS degree.

~ Preference will be given to those working in secondary or primary care institutions, with an interest in strengthening their skills in HIV/ AIDS care.
