What: To help aspirants acquire skills in tune with corporate requirements, Indo-German Training Centre, a management institute of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, Chennai, offers an 18-month full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration programme.
"This is based on the German dual system of higher education. It is a practice-oriented education which alternates study in the classroom with comprehensive on-the-job topic-linked training in participating companies," says T R Gopalan, Regional Director, Chennai, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce.
Do you qualify?
~ You must have an Engineering degree in Mechanical/ Production/ Electronics/ Electrical/ Civil/ Automobile/ Textiles/ Chemicals/ Printing/ Industrial/ Instrumentation streams.
OR
~ You must hold a B Tech/ B Sc (Tech)/ C A/ B Com/ B M S/ B Pharm.
~ Students who appeared for their final examinations in April-May 2005 can also apply.
~ Prospective candidates have to appear for the IGTC entrance examination in June, conducted in Mumbai.
Outstation students can appear for their entrance exam at the branch offices of IGCC at Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Bangalore.
Topics covered at the examination are: Business/ Environment Sensitivity, Written Communication Skills, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Analytical and Logical Reasoning.
~ The fees for this course are Rs 150,000, which can be paid in two instalments.
