Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarship 2011

What: The Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarship is open for 2011 applications. The scholarships are for courses, at top institutes, for 2 years, in either the US, UK, or Europe in all kinds of subjects.

The scholarship will cover tuition fees, adequate living expenses, and one-way travel.

Who can apply: Applicants can be Indians of either sex, must reside in India, and have a good degree from a recognised Indian university only. You must already have secured prior admission to the institution and the course chosen. The institutions concerned must only be top rank. Candidates must be below the age of 30 on July 1, 2011, and should not have started their programme already. 

Preference will be given to candidates who have not studied abroad so far in the past. Awards of other grants, teaching assistantships, and support from other sources will be regarded as a positive factor.

Who cannot apply: You are not eligible to apply if you plan to pursue Engineering, Computer Science, Urban Planning, Business Studies, Medicine, Public Health, Indian History, Indian Studies, Fashion Design, Music or Film Animation. In the case of PhD programmes with collaborating institutes, scholarships may be extended up to 4 years.

How to apply: Application forms are available at the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation. They must be returned to the Foundation along with the evidence of admission, the full details of the institute's financial requirements, one self-addressed, stamped envelope, and evidence of achievement in extra-curricular activities.
