On Wednesday, as the bhoomi puja for the Ram temple got underway in Ayodhya, IIT-Kanpur's incubator team highlighted the mask the prime minster wore.
Narendra Damodardas Modi was spotted in a Swasa N95 mask during the proceedings.
'Our team is delighted to have spotted Hon'ble @PMOIndia @narendramodi wearing Swasa N95 mask during #AyodhyaBhoomipoojan', the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre at IIT-Kanpur tweeted.
'Swasa N95 is produced by our portfolio startups Espin Nanotech @IITKanpur. It is a great testimony to the quality and potential of Indian startups and innovations,' IIT-K added.
On June 18, IIT-Kanpur Director Abhay Karandikar shared a picture announcing the manufacturing facility in the campus.
'Delighted to share that today inaugurated the Swasa mask manufacturing facility @IITKanpur campus. E-Spin Nanotech (founded by our alumnus Dr Sandip Patil) and Indeema Fibres (@IncubatorIITK company) have set up this facility in our campus,' Professor Karandikar captioned the picture.
Unfortunately, Professor Karandikar tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday, August 4, PTI reported. The IIT-Kanpur director has been taken to the Max Super Speciality Hospital in New Delhi for treatment.
