Neither France, the US or UK featured in the list of Top 10 sexually satisfied countries. Read on to know which countries made it and why.

If the Durex Sexual Wellness Survey is anything to go by, India is ranked 8th in the list of most sexually satisfied countries in the world.

International condom manufacturer Durex had conducted a global online survey on 26,000 people aged above 16, and found that across 26 countries only 44 per cent of people were fully satisfied under the sheets, the Independent reported.

While Switzerland topped the list, Spain and Italy grabbed the second and third positions.

Greece and Brazil completed the Top Five.

While France is generally thought to be most romantic nation, it didn't make the list, as neither did the UK and the US.

Other countries who made top ten are Netherlands, Mexico, Australia, Nigeria, Germany and China.

According to Durex, "Sexual well being is a balance of physical, emotional and sociological factors. It's about protecting and nurturing the sexual health of both you and your partner, getting the most of your sex life and feeling confident and happy about yourself."

As per Durex, sexual satisfaction diminishes with age and if people were in good health mentally and physically they were more likely to be satisfied.

They added that "Achieving orgasm is a key driver of sexual satisfaction. Just 48 per cent of us said that they usually orgasm. Globally, twice as many men (64 per cent) as women regularly have orgasms."

Here's the list of the Top 12 most sexually satisfied countries as per the survey:

  1. Switzerland
  2. Spain
  3. Italy
  4. Brazil
  5. Greece
  6. The Netherlands
