Did you know that the right amount of sunlight has a positive influence on your body?

Our response to sunlight has been ambivalent.

In hot climes, people shun the sun. In colder climates, the craze for sun and its tanning effect can be almost addictive.

In recent years, reports on sunlight and its impact has also created different streams of reactions.

There have been enough damaging reports about the harmful impact of the sun's ultraviolet rays and how it can cause skin cancer.

Reports that link sunlight to ageing have also made many wary of it.

But sunlight has its own bounty of health benefits, many of them, though well-documented, are not very well-known.

Shameem Akthar yogacharya trained with the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, takes you through five questions that will tell you why you should get some sunlight in your life.
