Rising humidity causing sticky skin? Here’s how to beat your monsoon woes.
The pitter-patter sound of rain drops, the lush greenery and the general sense of elation is something everyone looks forward to in monsoons. But the rising humidity and sticky skin? Annoying!
Everything bright and beautiful suddenly turns into complete havoc – sticky skin, general sense of dampness, breakouts…!
Well, you cannot change the weather; but these homemade packs will work nothing less than sheer magic for your skin:
1. Minion Face Pack
This is a simple and super quick face pack that is truly effective. All you need is a few mint leaves and a banana.
If you have a dry skin, you can also add a tablespoon of honey to the mix.
Trudge the mint leaves into a fine glue like paste with crushed banana. Apply this paste all over your face and wait for 10 mins before washing off with warm water.
2. The Cereal Killer Pack
Combine 3 tsp. oatmeal, 1 egg white and 1 tsp. each of honey and curd in a dish. Mix well to make a paste of decent consistency.
Apply this paste onto the face. Rinse off with normal water after 30 minutes. Use this pack twice a week for best results.
3. Down to Earth Pack
Mix a tbsp. of fuller’s earth (multani mitti) with sufficient measure of rose water/lemon juice, and make a paste.
The paste must be smooth and thick in consistency, with no granules left.
Apply this once per week and wash off with normal water. If you have dry skin, you might want to give this pack a miss.
4. The Cucumber Crush
Cucumber has incredible advantages for skin – revitalizing and treating all sorts of skin issues.
Mix cucumber juice with rose water and refrigerate it to make a natural toner. Apply it on your skin using a cotton pad to look instantly fresh-faced!
