The COVID-19 pandemic has shaken the world and has brought our lives to a grinding halt.

There is fear and insecurity among all of us.

While it is very important to maintain social distancing and personal hygiene along with following protocols, it is equally essential to go back to some of our ancient hygiene practices to have a sustained positive lifestyle amidst this pandemic.

Here are four simple things you can do:

Clean the house

Family members should get together to clean the house and prepare for the spring season.

Removal of clutter generates positive energy which in turn makes the mind positive and charged.

Cleaning the house and its perimeters are also important so that germs and such microbes are eliminated.

Let the sunlight enter

Ample sunrays, especially the morning sunlight, should be allowed to enter freely in our households.

Besides helping strengthen your bones, they also help in killing germs present outside your body.

Clear the north area of the house

North of North-east zone in the house is believed to be one of the most powerful areas in the house.

Traditionally, this are should have a lot of open space and least amount of clutter, so that positive energy can freely flow in.

The power of camphor

Burning camphor in different parts of the house will lead to neutralising negative energies.

A lot of people use camphor oil to massage the skin because it helps relieve pain, irritation and cures skin ailments.

If taken in the right measure, it works wonders for the human body.

Its powerful aroma also keeps insects away and protects you from diseases. You can simply burn a few pellets of camphor and allow its aroma to fill the corners of your house.

The most important thing in this time is to have a powerful immune system.

At the same time, you may recite certain mantras/words, that can help in building up the energy reserves of our body.

Reciting mantras in a moderately higher pitch creates positive vibrations within our bodies thus sending out positive vibrations within the house.

One must bear in mind that there is no perfect cure for COVID-19 yet, so do not believe in rumours.

Vastu shastra, yoga and mantras are only an additional means to keep our mind, body, soul clean and energised.

Practice pranayama and surya namaskar to improve your resistance power.

With adequate self-control and discipline, I am sure, we will definitely help win over this Corona threat.
