The dramatic show had models walking the ramp with zippers taped across their faces.
Probably for the first time in the history of the Tokyo Fashion Week, a designer sent across a strong message to Europe and the rest of the world through his show.
Japan-based fashion designer Chanwoo Lee, who made his debut at the fashion week last year, taped huge zips across his models' faces at his show titled Break Down Walls, Zip Up Difference.
'Today there are many political movements such as EU secession in the world, but basically I think that we're all the same humans,' the designer told the reporters gathered at the show. I wanted to express peace through my collection. But just a 'love and peace' kind of thing would be boring so I wanted to express peace with a rebellious spirit,' he added.
