Victoria Beckham, as it turns out, isn't the most stylish Brit of all time, according to a poll.

In fact, the fashion diva just barely made it to the top ten in the list.

That surely must hurt.

Audrey Hepburn beat Princess Diana, David Beckham and Kate Middleton to claim the most stylish Brit of all time title.

In the survey of 2,000 people, the Breakfast At Tiffany's star bagged over a quarter of the votes, becoming number one style icon, the Mirror reported.

Born in Belgium, Hepburn had British nationality and had spent some of her childhood in England.

She had begun her career as a London chorus girl.

While Princess Diana came second on the list, former England captain David Beckham who turns 40 today came third, highest in the males on the list.

Majority of the top ten positions were claimed by women a only three spots were acquired by men.
