Geeta Kapoor sent out a powerful message as she walked the ramp at the India Runway Week.
Dressed in a glamorous red sari, Bollywood choreographer Geeta Kapoor strode the ramp at the India Runway Week for designer Akassh K Aggarwal's Rangyatra.
The collection resonated the symbolism of old tribal Indian art of dokra, koftgari, bidri, meenakari, peroi, jadau and more.
However, it was also about celebrating the designer's identity as an Indian in the current scenario, "when everything about India is being questioned, the scenario where there is a fear of existence".
"I feel honoured to be part of a show where he (Akassh) has brought his ideas into fashion; the ideas that deserve to be spoken about. We don't normally speak about such issues," said Geeta Kapoor.
"I loved the way he has subtly put everything into his own form of art."
Another memorable part of the show were transgenders gracing the ramp.
Take a look at some of the glimpses from the show.
