Karl Lagerfeld's latest show for Chanel made a bold statement.

Set in a faux Parisian boulevard, Lagerfeld's show was a protest.

Models walked down the 'streets' holding up signs as diverse as "Make fashion not war" to "He for she," (taking cue from Emma Watson's UN speech) and "History is her story."
