Designer Santosh Parekh of Tulsi Silks showcased an exquisite line of kanjivarams at Lakme Fashion Week.

In line with the #IWearHandloom campaign started by Smriti Irani, Parekh's collection brought to the fore the rich tradition of silks from India's southern states.

Take a look.

IMAGE: Dia Mirza looked awe-inspiring in a black sari from Tulsi Silks. It was heartening to see musical instruments used as silver motifs.

IMAGE: The mogra laden hairdo, the brocade blouse and the diamond ignite the overall look.

IMAGE: As the muses walked in one by one, the traditional drapes held our attention.

IMAGE: Animal printed motifs like these were there too.

IMAGE: The bright colours and patterns were arresting.

IMAGE: Chequered creations like these were there too.

IMAGE: Shades of yellow with gold illuminated the ramp.

IMAGE: Parvathy Omanakuttan models a pink kanjivaram.

IMAGE: Candice Pinto stuns in a gold and red six yard.

IMAGE: One more shimmering beauty. Studded jhumkis add to the traditional look.
