When Mohammad Mazhar left his hometown Sahranpur in Uttar Pradesh to study fashion, he had big dreams.
After graduating from INIFD Chandigarh, he got his first big break in 2018 when he was picked to showcase his collection at the Lakme Fashion Week as part of their GenNext programme.
A year later, his designs have been worn by several actors and celebrities including Sonam Kapoor, Tapsee Pannu, Kriti Sanon and Samantha Prabhu.
"I spent just Rs 200 on the piece," he told Rediff.com's Kshamaya Daniel about one of the cheapest designs he'd created at the beginning of his career.
Today, his designs sell for up to Rs 50 lakh!
