Indian costumes were given a modern twist and showcased during fashion designer Wendell Rodricks' show titled 'Indica Emporia'.
The humble dhoti was turned into a dhoti jumpsuit, and a cape gave a contemporary twist to the good old kurta.
Celebrating the legacy of handwoven Indian textiles, Wendell chose bright and bold colours like red, green, blue and pink for his collection.

The models didn't walk the runway. Instead they graced the podiums set up on both sides of the aisle.

The designer played around with vibrant colours, and kept the outfits stylish yet wearable.
And there was something for the men too!
The models were lined up in the sitting area, while the audience walked around to get a better look at the outfits.
