Kareena Kapoor smoulders on the runway for Rohit Bal's grand finale show
April 04, 2016

Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016 ended with a spectacular show by fashion designer Rohit Bal.

Held at Mumbai's St. Xavier's College, which served as the perfect backdrop, the show was a fitting end to the 5-day extravaganza.

Titled 'Koroshini' (which means 'illuminate' in Urdu), the collection saw the use of mulmul and hues of gold and ivory, along with hand-made cut works and lattice.

However, the highlight of the show were the organic fabrics and the embroidery.

Showstopper Kareena Kapoor sashayed down the ramp looking as stunning as ever.

Take a look!

Doesn't she look stunning in this creation by the designer?

Supermodel Sheetal Mallar walked the ramp in a lovely black floor-length anarkali teamed with a long gold jacket.

The collection included plenty of contemporary outfits for the Indian bride and groom.

There's no doubt that the clothes were the highlight of the show.

Bold colours like red and black, along with white and gold formed the colour palette of the show.

Bal seems to have set some trends for the upcoming season with his collection.

He gave the good old sari a contemporary twist by teaming it with a cape, and anarkalis were worn with long, floor-length, full-sleeve jackets.

The menswear had a royal touch with the designer playing around with embroidery on jackets and shoes as well!

Don't miss the and innovative floral cape.

The designer had every reason to celebrate...2016 marked his silver jubilee in the fashion industry!

Now that calls for a huge round of applause, doesn't it?
