The best street style looks from Lakme Fashion Week
April 02, 2016 10:39 IST

The action was not just on the runway at Lakme Fashion Week.

Take a look!

It's summer, the time to bring out your denims.

And no better way to beat the heat than with a hot mini-skirt!

Game for androgynous fashion.

Then this outfit is meant for you.

A classic example of how a plain white shirt can be teamed with a pair of blue knee-length trousers, and yet look so cool and effortless.

Who thought that a simple, pleated olive green skirt could make you look so gorgeous?

Team the skirt with a floral tee and gladiators for an edgy look.

Whoever said that Indian traditional outfits were a no-no at fashion weeks, needs to think again.

Throw in some bling and it makes the perfect outfit for the evening party too!

You can add a contemporary feel to the outfit with silver sneakers and a pair of white ripped skinny pants.

Such an effortless look that's high on sustainable fashion.

Khadi is back in vogue and how!

Throw in a dash of black to this otherwise plain beige outfit and you're all set to make a fashionable entry.

Yet another tunic dress in khadi worn by Delhi-based model Ritu Chauhan.

Whoever thought of teaming a chic white dress with a pair of casual white sneakers?

The results are here for all to see!

We're not sure if we like the white-grey jumpsuit, gladiators, or the tan bag better.

But put together, it makes for an outfit we'd die to have.

This year, we did see plenty of prints on the runway, and it seems to be a great idea to dig into your closet and bring out those printed dresses.

You could team it with a long printed over-coat like this!
