Fashion Week: Back to black

March 17, 2016 17:09 IST

Designers Pallavi Mohan and Rina Dhaka create meaningful fashion at Amazon India Fashion Week Fall 2016.

Simple, minimal... yet diverse and powerful!

Day 1 at AIFW Fall 2016 witnessed designs that celebrated evolution and also took us back to our roots.

Rina Dhaka played beautifully with weaves taking inspiration from her early days when she was doing knitwear. Edgy and glamourous -- that's how Rina worked out her trendy knitwear collection.

On the other hand, designer Pallavi Mohan’s ‘Synthesis’ collection conveyed the message of tolerance and accepting synthesis in spirit. It also reflected the progress of handcrafted techniques.

Take a look!

Image: Candice Pinto brought back the peplum trend in an off-shoulder jacquard dress. And this time it's on the hem!

Image: Here's a new reason to love the colour black -- this sheer turtleneck Lurex dress with part embroidery.

Image: Sheer never looked so grand, until a bit of Benaras was blended in through exquisite lacework and embroidery patterns.

Image: Try nude fashion in a crop top and a midi skirt paired with boots. Don't miss those stunning three dimensional patterns.

Image: The luxurious silk organza fabric with anemone inspired floral motifs on the jacket rendered a sleek look.
