Chanel's Fall 2019 show marked the end of an era.
Fashion's blue-eyed boy late Karl Lagerfeld might not have had a public memorial.
But Chanel made sure that the beloved designer got a fitting farewell.
His last show set in a snowy Alpine wonderland was an ode to the man.
The show notes had an illustration by the late designer. It featured him and late Coco Chanel.
The illustration had the words 'The beat goes on...' written by Lagerfeld.
The show began with a minute of silence, followed by an audio of the designer speaking about his work.
He spoke of the time someone told him that his sets were like walking into a painting.
As his audio ended, the light fell on the ornate set with cabins set in a snowy mountain.
And while people might have imagined this show to have taken place in Switzerland, it was set in Paris. Scroll down to take a look!
