And we are simply drooling over his summer collection 'Elements' showcased at a special preview.
From Sridevi to Kareena Kapoor, Manish Malhotra has styled actresses of various generations but the celebrity designer says he still feels nervous like a newcomer before every fashion show.
The designer says he does not believe that he has 'done it all' and feels every show is a learning experience.
"I don't come from the mindset that I've done it all, so many shows and so many movies. For each show I get really nervous and anxious. It's just about wanting to do better, it's a learning process. I think I am as much a newcomer as any other newcomer designer," Malhotra told reporters here on the sidelines of his preview show for the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week.
Malhotra will be opening the season on March 29 with an offsite show and feels it is a big responsibility. "Mine is the opening show at the fashion week, it is a responsibility because that is what sets the standard and marks for what's going to come. But it's a responsibility which I enjoy."
The 50-year-old designer will present his collection called "Elements", which is in tune with the Lakme Fashion Week's Summer/Resort edition.
"I am celebrating spring summer, the collection is called 'Elements.' All the colours, finishing is light and useful. Even the men's jackets are much more easier, there is no embroidery on it. We are celebrating spring summer in a very glamorous, opulent way."
When asked if there will be a Bollywood show stopper Malhotra, said, "I don't know about the stars but I am definitely there. Right now the whole work is on the collection that I don't even know about the show stopper."
A total of 90 designers are going to display their collections on the runway this season, which includes Neeta Lulla, Nikhil Thampi, Anita Dongre, Monisha Jaising, Rahul Mishra, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Masaba Gupta, Payal Singhal and Nishka Lulla. Eleven models will make their debut at Lakme Fashion Week this time.
Also seen would be international models, Azura Skye and Smita Lasrado walking the ramp.
Lakme Fashion Week will begin from March 30 and conclude on April 3.
